Joseph's Story
When I graduated from High School, I went into the Merchant Marines and sailed back and forth from New York to Puerto Rico for a year. I then went to New York City and worked for Bell Telephone until the Army tried to draft me, so I joined the U.S. Air Force and was content there for over twenty years. When I retired, I went back to college and received an AA in psychology from Eastern New Mexico University.
While in New Mexico I pioneered and pastored Living Word Church in Tucumcari for five years. I then moved to Oklahoma with my family and received a BSW from Northeastern State University.
I later attended Rhema Bible College and graduated from the Pastoral care program. My wife Elizabeth and I continued in the music ministry and evangel...Expand for more
istic ministry while I sold insurance on the side.
Five years ago we moved to Nocona Hills Texas, and God led us into the pastorate again. We started with a congregation of twenty eight elderly people and have grown to over two hundred people in the past four years. We have a very active children and youth ministry, and they participate in mission trips each summer. Our church website is under construction but can be seen at noconahillscommunitychurch.com.
Liz and I have two children, Alicia 30, and Benjamin 28. We also have two grandchildren, Bryson 5, and Addyson 6 months.
We enjoy taking exotic vacations around the world, golfing, fishing, singing, and teaching the Word of God! I've recorded one solo CD and we've recorded one together.
