Joseph's Story
Life
I graduated from the Naval Academy in 1998, then went on to flight school in Pensacola, FL and Corpus Christi, TX. After I got my wings, I moved to Jacksonville for some more training. My wife, April, and I met there and got married in 2001. We moved to the Seattle area for three years. During that time, I flew the EP-3E Aries and became an instructor pilot and April worked at the local hospital as an RN. I spent a year total overseas, mostly in the Persian Gulf, and flew over 50 missions over Afghanistan ...Expand for more
and Iraq. We travelled a lot when I was home to Hawaii, Alaska, and all over the west coast. In May, 2004 we moved back to Jacksonville, where I am teaching new navy pilots how to fly the P-3, before they go to squadrons and fly operationally. April and I had our first child, Audrey, in September, 2004 during Hurricane Frances. In February, 2007, we will move to San Diego where I will be the Assistant Navigator on board the aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan. I hope you have been blessed since we left Oxon Hill.
