Joseph's Story
Hi,
Enjoying retirement after 39 years in education. My wife and I started teaching together at Lakeland in 1969 after graduating from Montclair State College, now Montclair University. I started teaching at Lakeland as an indistrial arts teacher, served as a department chairman, area supervisor, assistant principal and the schools principal 2000-2009. I I found a home in a great school district, with a great staff and student body. I became heavily involved in professional organizations over the years and served as President of the Lakeland Administrators and Supervisors Assn, the Passaic County Principals And Supervisors Association! strial Arts Association as well as serving as a member of the Board of Directors of the NJ Principals and Supervisors Association. I have given numerous workshops and presentation on educational technology, transitioning from industrial arts to technology, education, educational supervision, classroom teaching strategies,
I live in West Milford, until August.2010, when we relocated to Virginia in to be close to my daughter, son in law and two grandsons.
My toughest decisions now are which golf course to play and what time to get up. So far retirement is everything we hoped it would be and at this time I have no plans for any part or full time work.
