Joseph's Story
Joe Natoli is the EVP and Chief Administrative Officer of Baptist Health South Florida, the largest health system in the region. He previous was senior vice president for business and finance and chief financial officer of the University of Miami.
Prior to joining the University, Natoli spent 30 years with Knight Ridder, Inc., where he served as chairman and publisher of the company’s largest newspapers, The Philadelphia Inquirer and Daily News. He previously was president and publisher of the San Jose Mercury News, and president of the Miami Herald Publishing Company.
He joined the University in September, 2006 following the purchase of Knight Ridder by The McClatchy Company and subsequent divestiture of The Inquirer and Daily News. He is a graduate of the Univ...Expand for more
ersity of South Florida and earned an MBA from Nova (now Nova-Southeastern) University. He completed the Harvard Advanced Management Program and is a former instructor of the Becker CPA Review course. He has chaired or co-chaired community-wide United Way campaigns in Miami-Dade County, Silicon Valley (San Jose) and Southeastern Pennsylvania (Philadelphia).
Past honors include Volunteer Fundraiser of the Year by the Silicon Valley Foundation, Business School Alumni of the Year by the University of South Florida, Award of Excellence by the Thurgood Marshall Scholarship Fund, Special Achievement in Business by the National Italian-American Foundation and Emerging Leaders by Florida Trend Magazine. He and his wife, Jennifer, have two children and three grandchildren.
