Joseph's Story
Life
I have 4 great kids, all boys, aging 23 to 13. Divorced once. Now, remarried, I have a wonderful wife who wishes I didn't travel as much for my job. When I am not working I like to spend time with my family. At this point in my life spending time with my kids is a main priority, I never thought I would be a kids chauffeur, but guess what?
They are very adept to making friends, although their girlfriends are nuts. It's alot of work to keep them from doing the things I did a their age ('Daaaaad stuff has changed since you were a kid' . . . Baloney, not that stuff). I have two boys left at home, the my oldest son is on his own and my 21 year old lives with his brother.
We live in a beautiful home in the Castleton area.
It is suprising how life turns out. There have been many ups and downs but wouldn't change anything, (well maybe a couple of things) because it has made me who I am today.
I only wonder sometimes, 28 years where did it go? In my head I still feel 18, but the mirror calls me a liar.
Workplace
Worked for many years (...Expand for more
16!) at a factory on the southeast side of Indy. Wired and troubleshot industrial controls. Left in 1998 to join a plastic injection molder in Castleton as a machinery maintenance supervisor. It did not take long for me to realize supervising and management were not in my long term forcast.
Made a lot of good friends there which explains why I was not so good at supervising and disiplining them. However I was able to meet the future love of my life, after I left management I pursued her with unabashed zeal, little realizing she was doing the same with me.
After I left the molding shop I joined a manufacture's rep that sold and serviced equipment for the plastics industry in 2003. Now as a service tech I am responsible for Joe Wilson only (the successes and screwups!) which is great. I really enjoy working for these people (I see my boss maybe twice a year). The technical aspects are always challenging, I love working with automation and I'm always learning. The biggest draw back is any airport on a Friday evening during a snow storm.
