Update: Mar. 4, 2014. Back then I was a young English Teacher who could play touch football with my "after school" detention class. Now I teach Computer Info Systems in College, and try to "putt-putt" around town (a suburb North of LA) on a Motorbike, and working for my and Holly's daughter, Lucinda Price. .. LIFE was actually better in many ways back then. People were honest and caring.. For example, Mr Fachetti would drive by my house on Driver's training to check up on me (while he also gave me Math / Logic problems to solve), Remember Mr. Demeo, Pat Berry, Mr. Ward, the great Scientists we had up stairs? We had some good teachers, some were lousy. The great ones cared about how Education would make a Difference! .. BOY, it really does! ... WE HAD A COMMUNITY, A LOVING, LOVELY PLACE TO BE. We were blessed by God to be in Plymouth in the late 60's. It was an "incubator" for success! ... I am going to tell a "bad boy" story now. About my slightly ways. From a poor Dept Chair I had (not Mr. Sanbon), I was being bothered .. so after I got published, I handed him a copy of the article to read which he liked .. then I said "Please Note who is the Author" .. and he turned red (redder), got up and walked away! ... A learning point: Work Smart and Hard. .. I have to say, now, that since we are the "Captains of our Ships", if we don't like what is happening to ourselves, it is up to us to change it!! Thanks. It was a blessed time. From there, I started my career and family ..and I want to pay back the good Kharma that I got!! .. BTW. You know that with Sheila Bloom and Joyce Brigida that we won a State Award for our Literary Mag .. .. (I am thinking about all my contacts there at PCHS .. and getting emotional .. so it it time to close. Mega Regards and Respect. Mr. A. Out. PS. the Kharma continued .. while, after Holly ___ (I can't say the word) . .. I was widowed . and went to Grad School and an ex-student who taught nearby .. helped me out .. So the Kharmic Beat goes on ... Be well. JA. Out. ------- Update Day after Thanksgiving, 2012: I am in a "past memory" mode, I guess. In 64-68, I taught English in Room 208, with Mr. Fachettic down the halll. and with very cool Principal Demeo supporting me! My classes in 64 figured out that I was to be married on Thanksgiving 1964 to Holly (if any of you remember her, please write me), and, overall, my career at PCHS seemed "inspired" -- it seemed "magical" ... it was one of the happiest times of my life! .. Holly and I have a daughter -- Cyndi -- a major Patent Attorney / Inventor and Mike who reminds me of some of my rambanctious students whom I played touch football with during detention! Cyndi definitely takes after her mom. Spirtitual, insifghtful, blessed, caring, and beautiful. I am sooo lucky! I am in Cali now, and pls find me on FB. I am retired .. and miss teaching .. so I will start up again, hopefully. ... I write "lessons" on FB, and more (Google me for more), so I keep busy. PCHS was the "happiest Place on Earth" for me.
