Josephine's Story
Life
I got married to Abe (Blackie) Galaviz(he went to Carl Hayden the same year) on November 18, 1962. We have three sons and three daughters ,25 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Gee, this makes me feel old but I feel GREAT!
Abe worked for Mckesson and is semi retired. He manages one of my MVD offices. I have my own business contracted by ADOT/MVD Third Party Program. My business is just like going to a MVD office to do transactions such as vehicle title transfers, registrations, tag renewals, permits and vehicle inspections. My three locations are Superior Motor Vehicle Services, Inc. on 51st Ave. & Indian School Rd., 23rd Ave. & Glendale, and in Goodyear. I am currently preparing to add traffic survival school and defensive driving school.
I attended Durham Business College right after graduation. I worked at the Phoenix Public Library but then started working at Motorola for higher wages. I worked there for ten years. We build a house in Laveen, AZ in 1972. We manufacturing salsa (SALSA KING, INC) and distributed it in all the Costc0 stores including some in California.
I worked as a secretary at St. Catherine's Church for awhile and then became a "nanny" for a TV commentator and a docto...Expand for more

In 1991, I worked as an executive administrative assistant to two state senators until 2003. I retired from the state to attend to my businesses.
1996 - I was a candidate for the AZ State Senate seat but didn't win. Also at the same time, was the Maricopa County Director for the Healthy Arizona Initiative which became law.
2001 - I was in parternship to Sookie's Sports Bar & Grill. with my brother Sookie (no longer doing that).
2001 - I started the MVD business and still doing that.
2003 - I got into partnership building stainless steel hot dog carts with my brother Sookie.
2004 - I opened up a restaurant but sold it in six months (was not my green bag).
I'm also a seamstress, a insurance agent, and a food caterer. I'm basically an entreprenueur.
I am separated from Abe. Life goes on!!!
I plan on traveling and just enjoying my life.
I have been a pretty busy person as you can see but I have enjoyed every minute of it. It has been very painful at times but the joys have been greater.
I thank GOD for everything HE has put in my path and I know he still has rewarding things ahead for me.
I love my children, their children, and their children's children.
That is more rewarding in my life than anything else.
