Josephine's Story
I just arrived to the U.S. in 1975 just finishing 7th grade in Viet Nam. It was after the communists took over S.VN and we got evacuated and became refugee status in the U.S. So by the time I reached highschool I was very lonely because of my limited English ability. I was the silent and shy type in HIgh school, not because I was shy and quiet but because I wasn't able to say much things to the classmates around me. But I remember sitting in the first row long table in some class and the teacher was the football coach. I thought he was so handsome and was in love with him alright. I sat there, at that table built for 3, all alone the whole year and felt like a loser when all behind me everybody was talking to everybody else. Any way, that was in 10th grade. ss and met a few friends but I can't remember their names at all except one whose first name is Annette. I don't remember her last name. When I attended 12th grade I met Thai Nguyen, a friend from Viet Nam. We took grammar class together and he was first in the class and I was second top position. We thought grammar was fun and had a good time in this class. I want to meet some single/widowed/divorced man from this school's year (1980) to see if we can make things happen or not. And if Annette remembers me and recognizes me, I hope you'll introduce yourself. I hope to make friends with people from this graduating class and if any of you now live TX want to visit, that would be nice. I'm now divorced and have a 15 year old son living with his father and step mother as well as half-sister. I'm retired from civil service.
