Hi to everyone!
After HS I went to Augustana for 1 year & then transferred to USD.
I met my husband, Jim Dyer, at the U...tall, dark & handsome & an All American basketball player. I loved watching Jim play basketball and as a USD cheerleader, cheering for him!!
We got married in 1964. Although after 50+ years of marriage, we still feel like teenagers (until we look in the mirror)!
After living in Wisconsin, Missouri & Iowa, we moved to Phoenix (we live in Scottsdale, AZ.). We have been in Scottsdale for 30 years.
During our early years of marriage, I worked as a model for petite wear. I also worked for Tomahawk boats modeling for brochures. Later on in our marriage I worked with my husband establishing our businesses. Jim owned a healthcare benefits company in Phoenix & two other healthcare/insurance companies located in Las Vegas & Honolulu. As you might imagine, we did a lot of traveling! Jim is pretty much retired now although our son's still call on their dad frequently for business advice. Our youngest son Mark, is the CEO of a healthcare management company & our oldest son, Jeff, is an Otolaryngologist Head and Neck surgeon here in Scottsdale. Jim's biggest role these days is being my "personal assistant" since I am dealing with a hip replacement gone bad and a few other medical issues.
We have been blessed with 7 fantastic grandchildren. Those grandkids light up my life!!!
Thankfully, our son's & their families live in the Phoenix area.
