Joy's Story

Life Since I entered this bio, my dear husband Bob, died from lung cancer on November 6, 2004. We would've celebrated 40 years of marriage on December 16, 2007 The picture I have here was our 30th anniversary and I really love that picture, so I think I will leave it for a while. I really miss him but know that he is in a better place and I believe I will see him again someday! I'm sure I'm not the only one that has lost a loved one. I am trying to remember all the wonderful times we had together and how I had someone who loved me for me and was always kind and considerate. I'm blessed to have had that. We have 2 grown children, Lisa, 40 and Lori, 38. We have 3 grandchildren. Lisa and Kevin have Melanie, 21 and Jake, 15 and Lori...Expand for more
has Ashley 17. I've worked for Bio-Rad Labs in Hercules, CA since November of 1974. Bob retired from Chevron at age 50 in 1995. I have a side job doing Karaoke which I love! I have around 12,000 songs and I work Thursday and Saturday nights in Pinole at Pete's Place. I am also a hobby demonstrator for a company called Stampin'Up! which I also really enjoy. Ashley lives with Lori and me so it's fun having a teenager around the house. She will be graduating from John Swett High School this June. She will attend DVC for a while and then plans to go to Nursing School to be become a Registered Nurse working in the NeoNatal Intensive Care Unit like her Aunt Lisa!.
