*Traveled to Malawi, Africa in Sept/Oct of 2006 on mission assignment. Both my husband and I taught in a seminary there! It was such a wonderful experience. We hope to return this year.(2007)
School
Silliness:
1. My own "hat week"- I wore a different hat every day and it did not have to "match" my outfit.
2. Alice in Wonderland Dare-
I had a dress that someone said looked like Alice in Wonderland
(Diane somebody -I think. Do you remember who?) and she dared me to dress the part! The other girls warned her, "NO- don't dare her....SHE'LL DO IT!" She didn't think ...Expand for more
I would, but I did. I will post a photo on site soon. (I recently found it!)
3. Slave Day!
What a fun day for our school!! It was a great fund raiser, extremely funny and we got away w/a lot of things you might not be able to do in schools today!
4. Powderpuff games:
I got sick just the week of the senior game which made me sick at heart as well. But seeing our senior boys dressed up as cheerleaders and the grody brigade was a-o.k.! Too funny! (cross dressing?!)
I am sure YOU can think of other things YOU found flat out silly or funny!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Crushes:
I think I had huge crushes on all the cute guys and just was Burt the Flirt!
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Saddest- maybe losing our choir teacher to cancer.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Most inspiring teacher-
>Mr. Turnage, science teacher.
He made science fun and interesting and was one to speak his faith as well. He presented creation as a theory along w/evolution (also a theory). I really admired that!
-----------------also....
Ros Vaves-Soo-Hoo: Homeroom teacher:
She tried her best to get me into speech or drama, but w/out any luck. Looking back, I KNOW it would have been great!
(It could have changed my life?!)
