Joy's Story
Update 2016
Life is still good. We have added 3 son in laws and 3 grandchildren to our family and are hoping for a few more. It's harder to keep up with the grandkids, but we manage. All of my grandkids are in Kansas City which is only a 6 hour drive, so I get out there often. Ginny lives in Texas and works for Exxon. That is a little longer drive, but a nice place to go in the winter. Kate and her husband are in Cape Girardeau which is only an hour away, but will be moving for Matt's residency in June.
I spend my time playing golf, reading, sewing, going to the gym and working in the yard. I also travel often to see the kids and an occasional cruise. I started taking piano lessons 2 years ago and love it. One of those things I always wanted to do. I work 10 hours a week in a family planning clinic which gets me out of the house and is still enjoyable. I often wonder how I ever had time to work full time. The days fill up fast! Would love to hear from all my classmates and hope we can find a way to get together for a reunion.

room and had a lot of fun. I eventually got married and moved to Murphysboro IL where I have lived for the last 29 years. (Sure sounds like a lot, but the years have gone by really fast).
I completed my masters and had 3 children in 3 years. I went to work as faculty at Southeast Missouri University in Cape Girardeau MO. I worked there for 6 years and then did a post masters cert in midwifery. I have been delivering babies (in hospitals) ever since and I love my work. The hours aren't very good, though. Babies can't tell time very well.
My children are wonderful. My oldest, Rebecca, is 27 and an OB/GYN resident in Kansas City. My twins, Kathryn & Virginia (Katie & Ginny), are 25. Katie is a nurse in Cape Girardeau and Ginny is a PhD student in Chemistry at Washington University in St Louis. I don't have any in laws or grandchildren yet, but look forward to that part of my life.
I play some golf, read, work on quilts, and like going to the gym. I also do a lot of walking. I have a fairly big dog (50#) and she gets me out in all kinds of weather.
I got a digital camera for my birthday and plan to read the manual and get some pictures to post on here. Wish me luck.
Would love to hear from my classmates.
