Joyce's Story

Well, I have been active in the mortgage industry for the past 46 years and what was a great career up until the last 10 years, I had to make a change. Although I stayed in the industry, I found it necessary to join the "people" as an advocate to take on the corruption of so many attorneys who worked in tandem with the financial sector to pull off the biggest heist in American history. We did everything humanly possible to try to get the banks, the feds, the regulatory and Wall Street, to pull back from their arrogant lack of disregard for America when they openly allowed such activities to be carried out which of course led us down to the demise of the housing crisis. Unfortunately for the people, we, along with other organizations, would not be successful as we needed the other 95% of the homeowners to step in and support, not the remaining 5% so much, but the rule of law. Spending time in the Court Rooms over the past four to five years was a real eye opener for me. And it will be for that reason, that I try to take a real interest in which judges are running for election...Expand for more
and which ones Governor Perry may appoint. I have worked with homeowners in most states and innocent people who did buy and invest in what they could afford have lost their homes and equities in their portfolios. Taking a person's property without the right to legally do so is theft. I used to write how the banks were making out like bandits, but in Texas, we call it grand theft I was greatly disappointed that those doing so well and even those who did experience some degree of victimization, would give up the rule of law so easily and it will be their children who will, in all probability, bow to the financial sector. I know it is difficult to understand it, but when you have been with it through the 80's, the 90's and now the 2000's, together with the administrations that were in office at the time, as I have, then there may not have been such a disconnect. Do not wish to offend anyone, but there will be much more on the horizon now that we have given up so much and knowing what we know now, I just hope that it will not to be late to turn this boat around.
