Joyce's Story
I left DRA and the convent in 1968. I went home to Maryland, worked at UPS for a year and then moved to California in April of 1969. I met the love of my life in November of the same year. We married in October of 1970. I have three grown children, three grandchildren and a dog named Callie.
My husband of 37 years passed away after a long illness in February of 2007. I am retired from the local school district where my children all went to school. I do still sub as an Admin. Asssistant and really enjoy the flexablility of only working when I choose to.
I own a home with a pool and jacuzzi that my grandchildren and family love to gather at. I have always loved to sew (making and remaking curtains in the convent for the Daughters of the Divine Redeemer, was the beginning of this love). I am into quiling right now. r each member of my family. This is quite a project and should keep me busy for some time to come.
I bowl on Tuesday and Thursday and get to the gym of M-W-F. I also like to go to the Indian Casino's once in a while. I guess I get the slot machine virus from my mother. I can still see her at my uncles nickel machine in his little corner store in Benedict Maryland. Oh so long ago!!
For years I have thought about the girls I went to school with - hoping that each of you are doing well. It would be fun to get together and do some catch up. It doesn't look like anyone from my graduating class has signed into this website but in the hope that you do and you recognize my name - let's talk. I look forward to hearing some old friends soon.
