Life
Hello Everyone..
For those of you who do not know me... I was a student at Lincoln High, in Warren. I lived at 13 and Schoenherr so I did not get to go to a lot of school functions..
I met my husband on May 13th which happened to be a Friday the 13th.. We went out and came back to find my car had been hit in the parking area. We dated and instantly knew we were destine to spend our life together. We got married Aug 20. Happy to say we are together after 45 yrs.
I had some cousins that attended Lincoln.. perhaps some of you knew them John Rewitzer.. ( he worked at the BelAir Drive in after school.) We still keep in contact and have long phone conversations. My other cousin was Betty Rewitzer, sad to say she passed away a few years ago at the age of 58.
My husband retired and life found us living in NW Indiana. I have a few years to wait for retirement but sharing his has been fun. Retirement has found us closer and more in love than ever. We had two daughters and 4 grandchildren.
Here it is 2008 and life is good, new with no mistakes in it. Life has treated us kind.. and we respect our health. Trying to be healthy as we can.
We have come to that road in our life where our church has great importance. It is a large church with many activ...Expand for more
ities that have allowed us to broaded our friendshp with others our age.
I look back on my school days as a stepping stone in life. It was fun and I did my share of talking and acting up in class. To this day I act like a kid and enjoy having time to laugh and be a free spirit. My grand children say, I am the grammy that never grew up. I love to play games and have pillow fights with them.
However, growing older has brought a certain saddness to my life. As people I have shared time with began to pass from this life. Some too young, some very ill. My own sister died at the age of 40. I have learned that like that song about Abraham, Martin and John that all to soon we do look around and people are gone from our lives.
My husband will remain home to watch their two dogs and our two. We do not put them in a Kennel. We have great respect for our animals.
Chance is a standard poodle with 18 titles. Ladybug, is a sheltie that was dropped off at the local shelter. She is 7 yrs old and has been with us one year. This little girl is just the most perfect companion. She is happy with us and we have made her the apple of our eye.
We feel like we won the lottery with her.. and she with us.
