Joyce Hurlbut:  

Joyce is a long-time resident of Cranston, Rhode Island. She has a fun and fantastic family that includes 4 daughters and 7 grandchildren (ask them about "the Joint"... ), 2 nieces and 1 nephew. She works in HR at Cox Communications. Her schools include CCRI, URI and she is a graduate of Cranston High School West, Hugh B. Bain Middle School and Woodridge Elementary School. While in high school she was in the chorus and Italian Club. Music seemed to be a theme in her life; after graduating from West she persued a brief career in cover bands as lead vocal. Such fun...those were the days! She played with some incredibly talented musicians, most of whom are still in the local business and/ or are teaching at Berklee or in Vegas, or elsewhere. Joyce's interests include music, holistic health, politics, reading, writing, technology, family and friends... Not necessarily in that order! She likes Motown, Diana Ross, Smokey Robinson; jazz, Diana Krall, Esperanza Spaulding, Sarah Vaughan, Jane Monheit; singer/ songwriters, Jason Mraz; and artists such as Earth,Wind, & Fire, Christina Aguilera, Jennifer Hudson, Krystal Bowersox, Candace Glover, Katherine McPhee, Rascal Flats, Keith Urban, Blake Shelton.
