Joyce's Story
Life has been very busy !!!Dean and I have 3 children , and active ones at that. Soccer, track and gymnastics fills their lives. We have the Wallflower , a retail store in Honesdale,for the past 23 years. It is quite unique for the area and enjoyed by many. Dean and I worked it together....me the worker bee, he the artist, visionary. A unique combination that truly made it work , and quite special. I was thrilled he helped me with my dream! Then the last several years we have been working on his dream right next door to the campground. We built cond-like units for vacationers, locals needing a quiet getaway , and business and professionals too! ad weddings, birthday parties, class and family reunions,confirmations,showers.......My favorite was a birthday party for a Dr. turning 100!!! You can google up the Lodge at Keen Lake and check out the website. We proud of having something this special to offer people in our area. WE have an acre on Keen Lake, but can issue guest passes to the campground to enjoy their amenities. Yes, four of my sisters now run the campground. It is great to see that business continue---the one I grew up with and learned so much through all the many experiences there.
I do run into many Western Wayners through the store and of course school events with our kids. My kids are even hanging out with children of parents I graduated with. Life does come full circle!
