Joyce's Story
This pic was taken on 5 May 2010, called Cinco de Mayo around here. Little Bit had been to the vet and seemed to like her bandage.
On 13 May 2010, I had to have her euthanized. I'm not through missing her yet, but it's only been 4 days and I had her 12+ years. She had, originally, belonged to my best friend of 30 years. When she died, I got Little Bit.
I share my home with 2 Betas, which I find entertaining, but quiet. As of 4 April 2011, both of my Betas are dead, one of whom I had for over 4 years.
My smallest, but best, trophy is for my team spirit award.
My first job was at Washington, D.C., where I got paid $1.68/hr. to work in Personnel. What I remember most about it is taking fingerprints.
If I could improve my home, I'd remodel my bathrooms and add on a wrap-around porch. My dream home would be totally handicapped-accessible.
The wildest thing I ever did in school was fly a paper airplane that landed on Sister Winceslaus' desk, just as she started to say the last prayer of the day in homeroom.
How do I hope old friends remember me? It would be nice if they just remember me.
If I won $100 million, I'd give $20 million of it to my parish, then spend the rest on $20 ...Expand for more
million to A.L.L., $20 million to St. Joseph's Indian School and keep the rest 'til I decide.
To be truly happy, I would be most anywhere in Texas, just living daily, with my Catholic husband, who shares mutual love.
The only hard work I do is yard work. Other than staying home retired, my career aspirations would be to learn sign language to be on-call if a police department (or others) needed an interpreter.
The weirdest job I ever had was with FAA, the worst Government agency for which I worked.
In 10 years, I hope to be alive and looking around. I'm going to get there by surviving a successful neck surgery..
The way I relax now is playing and watching my new Chihuahua, Spike. He's a corker.
I would like to come to another class or school reunion, preferably, my Class.
My neck surgery was very successful, surprising even the doctor. I am now in physical therapy, preparing for surgery on my lower back, where I have the same problem I had on my neck. If this one is as successful as the last, I may even be walking most of the time. We'll just have to see because there are no guarantees in surgery, and if my doctor were guaranteeing me anything, I would find another doctor.
