Joyce's Story
Life
No kids, but had hundreds and hundreds while teaching. Have two adorable toy poodles who keep me company. My husband, Larry, died 20 years ago after a valiant fight with cancer. My sister, Marlene (class of '59) and brother, Fred (class of '67 I think) both are still in southern California. Haven't kept in contact with anyone from our graduating class. Have lived in Irvine since '78; about one mile from UCI.

n '66. Roomed briefly with a sister from our next door sorority house. Cafeteria cuisine was easy to remember--grilled cheese sandwiches and a coke which was cheap and fast to make. Remember sleeping a lot while trying to study in the library. God, I was so glad to get it all over with--it took me a lot of years to graduate as I was also working part-time.
Workplace
Retired from Rowland Unifed School District in 2003 after 36 1/2 years of teaching at Hurley Elementary School, primarily third grade.
