Joyce's Story
Life
I got married a year after high school graduation to my sweetheart in Texas, Gene. We have 5 beautiful children and now have 6 grandkids!! I was a stay-at-home mom (and loved it) until 1996. I worked at a Preschool and the town newspaper, an A/C company & Farmers Insurance; then I worked at Incarnate Word Elementary School in Corpus Christi and now I work at an elementary school in Portland.
My brothers live in Texas now also, so we see each other often. Two of my kids live in San Antoni...Expand for more
o, one north of Dallas and two of them in Portland with us. I miss everyone in Woodstown! I visited Debbie and Randy Franzen last August on a cruise and then in September when my grandma died at the age of 100!
Workplace
I work at East Cliff Elementary School in Corpus Christi. I'm an attendance/PEIMS clerk. I decided to make a change in my career so I could have 2 months off in the summer and all the school holidays to visit my kids and grandkids! I'm adjusting to the change in work place.
