Joyce's Story
Hello Classmates!
Great Day to you! I am Gwen Sweet White residing in Dallas. I am married and have been for 36 yrs. I met my spouse, Doug, in college at Prairie View A&M University. I have two children, Rodney 36, and Ursula 29, who are also PVU alumnis and 1 granddaughter, Talor 14.
After college, I moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico where my family resided. I attended the 'University of New Mexico to take some extended vocational courses. I began to work as an assistant to several Doctors in a Health Care Center where I was trained to do clinical lab work.
I was married in Albuquerque and then moved to Dallas.
I worked for Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Aetna Group
Insurance and then Xerox Corp for 15 yrs as an Organizational Development Manager. I retired from the corporate scene in 1995.

tor and have been for 15 yrs. I have won 9 Free Cars in Mary Kay and currently on target for the Pink Cadillac, my 10th car. I have a unit size of 85 unbelievable women and is actively looking for women to fill several leadership positions
I am active in my community with various organizations and a faithful member of Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship Church, Dr. Tony Evans, pastor.
Some of you may remember me from the Leopard's marching band, jazz band, choir, tennis, track, Phys Ed volleyball, etc....
I was surrounded by great girlfriends, "Shelia Richie, Anita Walker, Joann Criner and Faye Bogan". We had some WOW moments!
My favorite teachers were Miss Brown, and Mrs. Moore.
I enjoy family travel, social gatherings with friends and for personal relaxation I find a quiet place to read my Bible or a great motivational book.
