Joyce's Story
When I was in school I was avery quiet , friendly and little SHY, So I never really got to know to many of my classmates. I had graduated from Beckley Junior High and before that I graduated from SAkelton Elementary School . Right in the heart of the coal mines. . Of course my Father was coal miner and Farmer, during the day. . I come from a family of 13 AND there was 6 before me and 6 after me. Right now we have 3 boys Franklin, Charles and Howard, and 3 girls Susan and Judy and of courser myself.
I left WVa and went to Ohio Got ajob in Babcock and Wilcox Company at Barberton . Ohio.
I went a few years later to Massachusetts and Met my first Husband Philip Rich, we married and hsd one child, Paul Francis Rich.. That Marriage did not work their was such a difference in our up bringing .

When my youngest sister graduaed She came to live with me. about a year later she married William R Warner ., He was working in DC and he got Bob a job there and thats when my life really changed, I got a job with Dept of Defense.. Started out as a GS 1 and 34 years later retired as GS 11.
I worked at Fort Belvoir and Perntagon. on that fateful day I was not working taht day but it btore me up so bad I decided to retire. I loved my job and I am a very Pattriotic person.I got many awards for work well done,
I want people to remember me as a very family petrson and Love my God and my Family.
Every year for the last 67 yearsI go to Beckley to The "Honaker Reunion"
My Mother was a Honaker. Hans Jacob Honaker came here from Sweden in 1749 and The Smithsonian has on record 225,122. ,027 Honakers registered. at the Smithsonian
