Joyce's Story
Life
As I have said, Mike and I have been married for 22 years. I have one son,(Michael )and 4 grandchildren and 1 great grandson . We own a salon and day spa together, in Winston Salem. I love dogs and have been rescuing them for about sixteen years. The thing is, we keep them. At this time we have 10 (one male). Fortunately we own 5 acres, and have 1 acre fenced for them.
You know, life hasn't always been easy, nor have I always made great decisions. But, I have been blessed. And now my life is wonderful. I have an unbelievable husband, great friends, and a loving family, and a business that Mike and I worked for together.

life. It was enjoyable, I like people. But like anything else, we need a change. So after I met and married Mike, I went to work for his family as their salon manager. I worked as an assistant to two local attorneys also while running the Bobby Todd Salon. After eight years, Mike and I decided to branch out on our own. So we left the Todd legacy and opened Mike Todd Serenity Salon & Spa. We have been in business for eight years now. Mike has been a stylist for 29 years. So his dream was made a reality. We have 10 stylist and a spa director/skin care therapist. Being the owner is like having eleven children to care for. But we still love it. We learn and grow daily.
