Hmmm...How do I catch people up on the past thirty-eight years of my life? That's almost four decades!I will begin with the present because it is the result of the past. I am an educator. In high school I had hopes of being a medical doctor, but Mrs. Burleson convinced me that I was hopelessly inept in mathematics. It wasn't until my early forties while earning a masters in learning disabilities that I discovered that I was, am, and always will be dyslexic. Her devastation to my self concept actually was a blessing in disguise in that I redirected my thoughts toward teaching. I've proven to be a very good teacher, and my profession has brought me a great deal of joy and satisfaction. I am the mother of two.
