Joyce's Story
Life
I'm living in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Moved here after living in Orlando, Fl for 20yrs. This is a great place to raise a family. My husband and I wanted to get away from 'city' life and let the boys have a safer and more grounded upbringing. So, I resigned my 20yr career with the Walt Disney Travel Company (located at WDW)and since my husband is an engineer and works out of our home, we were able to relocate easily. Two of the boys are graduated (24 and 22yr)and our youngest is 16yrs old. We home-schooled the first two, but our youngest went into public school in his Sophomore year...Expand for more
to compete in sports (he's quite the athlete). We love the outdoors in both summer and winter and enjoy the simplicity of a small town. It's amazing what you can learn to live without. I never grow tired of the eagles, deer, birds, etc... (assorted wildlife) that we see so often throughout the year - although I'm thankful the black bear are hybernating half the year. It's been a wonderful journey thus far in life with heartaches and joys, but we are forever thankful to Father God and his son Jesus for all we have and for His faithfulness.
