Joyce's Story
After graduating from Francis Lewis High School and Queens College, I moved to California to attend law school. I co-founded the Animal Legal Defense Fund, a national noprofit organization that works to protect the lives and advance the interests of animals through the legal system.

I served as the Animal Legal Defense Fund¿s Executive Director for 25 years and now serves as the agency's General Counsel.
I live in California, with my daughter, a senior in high school and our family of dogs and cats.
