Joyce's Story
I got married for the first time in 1969 and divorced in 1971. After that, I was single for 19 years and I don't regret it. I went back to school, took time to get to know me and what I wanted out of life, took dance lessons and wound up teaching country western dance lessons with a good friend. I remarried in 1990 to a wonderful man and spent 14 years with him until cancer took him from me in 2004.
I am currently involved in my church and in the American Cancer Society Relay for Life. I have served as ...Expand for more
co-captain of my church team and am now co-chair of a committee for my area relay event. In addition, I try to go to the gym 3-4 times a week. I also get involved in small, short lived projects, such as class reunion committee.
I have 2 grown nieces who have children of their own and I absolutely love spending time with them. They keep me young.
Looking forward to the summer and all of the area outdoor concerts. It's good to be outside, listening to the music and sharing a bottle of wine with friends.
