Juanita's Story
My life has not been exactly what I thought it would be 35 years ago. I was married and had 3 great kids. 2 girls and 1 boy. I worked for the Adams-Friendship school district. In 2003 my divorce was final and I had moved to Wonewoc, Wi. In 2006 I married Steve Schmidt. He is wonderful. Together we have 5 children. He has 2 sons. I have 5 granddaughters. I love being grandma. I wouldnt trade it for anything. Two years ago, I went back to school and got my degree in dietary management. Three years ago, I took a job at a nursing home in Elroy, wi. with the hope to become dietary manager there. I have achieved that. It is alot work as you have 76 residen...Expand for more
ts to look after there nutritional needs. If they lose weight you had better be able to explain why and what you are doing about it. Most of the residents are wonderful. You form bonds very quickly with some. I have a pretty good staff. I look forward to hearing from former friends from High School.
I always wanted to be a nurse when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a crazy idea. As it turns out, they were sort of right.
Working in my flower gardens. Also reading and chating with friends. This is how I blow off steam.
My current age is 52. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be retired. I was so completely WRONG.
