Judi's Story

Hi all, I now live in Yardley, PA. It is a beautiful area and we raised 5 kids ( 4 boys and one impossibly spoiled baby girl). My DH and I hand a wonderful, happy life until September 11, 2001. Our 2nd son, Joshua, was an international bonds trader for Cantor Fitzgerald on the top floors of the North a tower of the WTC. He was 23, the youngest international bonds trader. Our lives changed dramatically. All of a sudden our quiet, little town became a media center. Our county lost 18 that morning including Josh, my neighbors' son and also one of the pilots. I had to learn how to navigate the media to protect my other kids, especially my 11 year old daughter. I now have 4 grown children, all are married and five adorable granddaughters. ou pass by on I 295, stop at the Garden of Reflection. It is only about 4 minutes off the highway at exit 2 Newtown. It is a beautiful memorial, the official PA 9/11 memorial, built by the families of Bucks county victims. We have all the names of every victim that morning as well. It is peaceful, beautiful and bless-fully free of gawkers, souvenir sellers or noise. It is free with free parking. No one will bother you. I have spent the last few years in public service. I elected to the township Board of Supervisors - the governing agency in PA townships. In 2017 I was approached to run for election as County Prothonotary. The Prothonotary is the oldest row officer position created in 1683 by William Penn. The Prothonotary is the Clerk of the Civil Division of the Court of Common Pleas, the Family Courts, Keeper of all records and a US Passport agency.
