Judith's Story
After graduation I married, had one child and subsequently divorced. One of the best moves I ever made. ha ha.
From there I turned to a career in the transportation industry. I was the first female air cargo sales rep
in Chicago. It was quite a kick.. Loved the shocked look I got when I
made first calls on some of the accounts.
Deregulation sent the airlines into a tailspin and I moved over to the air freight forwarders. Same thing was
happening there so I moved over to surface and piggy back modes.
In 1980 I found a little place on the Illinois river for weekends, holidays and vacations. Very rural. Absolutely loved it. In 1987 I bought a larger place, moved in full time and commuted back to the city each day.
By 1989 I did a 180 turn in careers. One of this areas major employers is the health industry. I took a leap of

ause I retired from the medical field 17 years later.
Love my home and my garden.. Enjoy reading and some TV. One of my greatest passions is travel. Been to Alaska (twice), the Panama Canal, Greece and the Greek Isles. Enjoyed several cruises of the various areas in the Caribbean. Italy is still on my
wish list thanks to a 7th grade History teacher.
A family member has a condo in both Naples, Florida and St. Croix, USVI.. We make at least one trip a year to each.. Naples condo is on a golf course, just a pretty view to me. But St. Croix is right on the ocean. I'm a water person..It's heavenly.
I have one granddaughter.. 14 going on
30 as they say. Love spending time with her. It's amazing how much younger grandparents are these days.
I can't really picture my grandma in
jeans and sneakers.
Certainly not getting any younger.. Age has endowed me with arthritis. Slows me down abit. But hey, could be
a whole lot worse. Life's a challenge
you have to meet it head on. That's what I plan to do.
