After graduation I married, had one child and subsequently divorced. One of the best moves I ever made. ha ha. From there I turned to a career in the transportation industry. I was the first female air cargo sales rep in Chicago. It was quite a kick.. Loved the shocked look I got when I made first calls on some of the accounts. Deregulation sent the airlines into a tailspin and I moved over to the air freight forwarders. Same thing was happening there so I moved over to surface and piggy back modes. In 1980 I found a little place on the Illinois river for weekends, holidays and vacations. Very rural. Absolutely loved it. In 1987 I bought a larger place, moved in full time and commuted back to the city each day. By 1989 I did a 180 turn in careers. One of this areas major employers is the health industry. I took a leap of faith and joined them. Driving to work each day included only one traffic light, corn fields and various pastures with cows or horses. What a change that was.
