Hi Grew up in Astoria on 35th St.I went to PS 5 & then went to Jr.High 126 & then I got to go to Bryant. I really liked Bryant & the many friends I made there.I loved singing in the Glee Club. I worked after school in a few stores on Steinway St. I worked At the Rainbow Shop & also I worked at the Lerners Shop. I met a great Supervisor at the Lerner Shop who happened to be a supervisor to me when I worked for the Motor Vehicle Bureau in Westbury, NY many years later.I met my husband Lenny Messitte when we were young kids at a social in Sunnyside. After High School I worked and went to College for awhile. Lenny was three years older than I & after a year we married. We settled down in Rego Park, Forest Hills. I worked full time & Lenny finished college. I became pregnant with our first child, Lenny finished college & started teaching. While Lenny was taking his masters degree courses I was taking civil service tests to work for Nassau County. Loved working for the County. I was close to home to be near the kids when they needed me. Had many positions working at the County, the first one was for the Motor Vehicle Bureau, then I went to the County Clerks office in Mineola that job was exciting then the last position I had was with the Passport Dept.
