Judith's Story
Life
I left Dickinson H.S. and found my first job in NYC. I left there for Western Electric. I married in 1966 and my husband's job moved us to Buffalo NY and later to Syracuse and I enjoyed living there very much ~ despite the weather! The people were great! This is were I pursued my interest in art and I met a wonderful artist Jules Beaumont. He encouraged me and gave me an awful lot of confidence. I continued to draw and paint over the years. In the early seventies we adopted our first child a four-month old little boy we named Christopher. A few years later, after returning to New Jersey, we adopted siblings from Korea. I got involved in the adoption movement and I am a past president of the Adoptive Mothers Club of Morris County. Today, my children are 27, 29 and 31 years and they are fine people.
In 1986 I was in a watercolor workshop at the Morristown Art Association where I met an administrator fro...Expand for more
m the Newark School of Fine and Industrial Art on MLK Boulevard in Newark. He encouraged me to put a portfolio together and apply for admission - I graduated from their three-year program while looking forward to painting full-time with friends I made at the college. Unfortunately, a family crisis forced me to find full-time employment. Although I have created some collages now and then I am currently planning on bringing my watercolors down from the attic to see if I still "have" it.
Unfortunately, things happen, people change, and my husband and I divorced after 28 years together. I found full-time employment at The Seeing Eye Incorported in Morristown NJ and I am so fortunate to come to a job I love every single day. I am in the Public Relations Office.
I am also a personal trainer nights and weekends at the Madison YMCA.
I was very shy in high school but I outgrew it ... please contact me.
