Judith's Story
Life
Ph.D. in English Ed. Retired after 35 years teaching and serving as Eng. Dept. Chair of local high school, National Board Certified teacher. I teach education classes as an adjunct professor at a local college. Working occasionally as educational consultant with Cengage Publishing. Husband is school administrator. We love riding our motorcycles and Polaris Rzr or going on short trips in our RV. (Not that I actually "drive" the bikes. I ride on the back. 'Seems like I'm dangerous enough on four wheels. Two wheels? Not a chance!)
I'm an idiot about Christmas. It takes me 60 or 70 hours to decorate for it each year! It's my favorite time of the year. I also seem to have one "make-over" project at home each year, and I think my favorite was when we converted our dining room into an Irish Pub. How fun...Expand for more

I live in the Tampa Bay area, visit my sister sometimes in Mesa, go a lot to Oklahoma to see my mom and also to the Orlando area to see my daughter and her 4 kids. Luckily, my son and his 4 kids live here in the Tampa area.
My kids say that they'd be amazed if anyone even looked at me in high school. I really wasn't very active in many school activities, but I do remember that my student # was "6666" - and that I had to put that number on all papers I turned in to all classes for all of high school - go figure. Of course the Baptist preacher's daughter would be labeled with the Mark of the Beast! My kids have looked at the high school pics and commented on how dorky I looked. Well, the glasses are gone, and make-up seems to cost more to try to get the same effect each year, but I love life!
