Hi Everyone! I just wanted to highlight what has been happening in my life since my GRADUATION from PRINCETON HIGH SCHOOL in l969. I attended Princeton High for TWO YEARS only (Junior and Senior Years). Previously, I had attended school in the ORLANDO, FLORIDA area (APOPKA HIGH SCHOOL). The first thing I did after graduation was continue my education at CONCORD UNIVERSITY from 1969-1973. During this time, I also worked part-time in Concord's Alumni Office. I received a B.S. DEGREE IN EDUCATION in 1973 with certification in Business Education, Social Studies and Elementary Education. I am certified to teach grades 1-12. I MARRIED Roger Buckner on July 19, 1975. We have TWO CHILDREN, Jeffrey Scott (32) and Leah Ashley (21). We also have TWO GRANDCHILDREN, Breanna Grace (8) and Justin Scott (5). During my marriage, I was a STAY AT HOME MOM for fourteen years. However, I decided to go back to college during this time to get additional certifications added to my B.S. Degree. In 1983, I began working on my Masters Degree. I graduated from WEST VIRGINIA UNIVERSITY in 1988 with a MASTERS DEGREE in COMMUNICATIONS. Sadly to say, Roger and I DIVORCED in 1994, after eighteen years of marriage. At present, I am still SINGLE. My first job, after graduating from Concord University, was as a LEGAL SECRETARY for the law firm "Sanders, Austin and Gibson". Shortly after that, I began working as a DEPUTY CLERK in Mercer County's Circuit Clerk's Office. My FIRST TEACHING JOB was in McDOWELL COUNTY (Keystone Elementary) from 1974-1977. As I stated (above), I was a stay at home mom most of my married life. However, I was a substitute teacher in MERCER COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOLS from 1980-1984. After my divorce in 1994, I was a substitute teacher at MERCER CHRISTIAN ACADEMY (Mercer County) for six years (1994-2000). From the year 2000 until the present, I...Expand for more
