Life
Hi to my GW classmates.
 My husband John, a native of South Carolina, and I live in Surfside Beach, SC - 6 mins. south of Myrtle Beach and love, love, love it. We can walk to the beach which is heaven. The only downside is the potential for hurricanes.
 John just retired early as a financial advisor with Edward Jones. Prior to this he was in the computer/high tech industry
 I have two children Lee (in Atlanta) & Courtney (in Beaufort, SC) and 4 terrific grandchildren, Alex, Kaylee, Morgan and Brennen, the youngest at 11 mos. So finally, after living so far away from them for years, I am close and we're together often. Just babysat Courtney's two, Morgan & Brennen. Whew! Now I know why we have them when we're young. I was pooped when I got home.
Totally irrelevant but important to us are our pets: Nikki, a 3 yr. old black schnauzer and Baby, a 13 yr. old Sun Conure (small parrot)
 I studied Graphic Design at Georgia State U. School of Design in Atlanta. I've been an artist and Graphic/Web designer for over 20 years and have had my own 1 person shop for 13 years with clients all over the US. My work now is predominately internet marketing for real estate agents.
 I passed the SC Real Estate Exam and then the bottom fell out of the market (bummer) but surprisingly this has been very good for my business. Smart agents realize that internet marketing is crucial for their business.

over 3 years fulfilling my childhood dreams of traveling. I was able to travel back to Europe many times because of John's work in the high tech industry.
 I'm an avid tennis player and fan. John and I have been giving free beginner tennis lessons to kids in our neighborhool for the past 3 years. We are in the process of getting PTR (Professional Tennis Registry) certification. Let's just hope that the knees hold out.
The saddest thing for me is that most of my family from Danville has passed away. I miss going home and the family get-togethers with all that great food and laughter. Other family members are out of state. My Mom passed away in January and I miss her every day. She lived in Charleston in Independent Living with her own apartment. She had an extrememly brief bout with a virus and passed away in her sleep. For my brother Bill, who also lives in Charleston, and me it's been a very sad time. Mama was 91.
Some of you may have known my cousins Andra, Sheryl (lives in CA with husband Bob) and Tondea Willis (lives in Ohio) and I'm in touch with them, especially Andra who has lived for years in Australia. She's the best correspondent and we IM each other. She has been heavily envolved in the Australian music scene with her husband Larry.
I've posted a picture. If I look better than you remember keep in mind that I know how to use Photo Shop and create my own "Extreme Makeover":)
