Judy's Story
You have a current photo, this was taken March 4,09. A customer came into the shop saying help! help! This dog came into their yard off a country road as a stray. No telling how long he had been wondering. It took over an hour to get his felted coat shaved off, and you can see, it had to be shaved to the skin. And then the poor thing was skin and bones underneath. You had two dogs instead of one. The worse I have seen, since dog grooming school.
Life
I am currently living in Lone Grove, Oklahoma. I ended up here because my daughter Lorlaee moved here. Well, she now lives in Evergreen, Colorado and my husband and myself stayed in Oklahoma. My Son Thurston lives in Dixon, Oklahoma which is close by, so I see him often. My son Jesse is in the United States Coast Guard, station at Alantic Beach, North Carolina. I have no grandchildren; but Ralph (my husband)and I have adopted four of our friends children as our grandchildren because both sides of their parents have passed on.
Three girls and a boy; Katie, Mandy, Lynsey, & Bobby. They keep us busy, and it is alot of fun!
I have a retired cutting and ropping hose named Blu, which I really enjoy trail riding until I had the automobile accident last February while collecting can goods for cub scouts, and ...Expand for more
was t-boned at a neighborhood intersection and thrown to near death. I had 1" to spare from my head getting crushed into the curb. I know Heavenly Father said; Judy today is not your day!
We then had our place flood twice with spring run offs of excessive rains, the goat herd came down with a rare form of ecoli from the flood waters, and we watched a herd of 75 die one by one daily, with no cure. We have 2 lone surviers; a weather and a nanny. Then if that was not enough; then something came in and took our chicken flock of 50 hens one by one. No matter what trap we set; it was smarter than my husband.
I am finally going into surgery to repair the tear in my disc from the wreck, and possible a second surgery on my neck if it decides to start showing systems.
We have had our challenges; but I am still smiling and going forward.
I own my own grooming and boarding business. We expanded the boarding and opened a bakery for dog treats, and now I want to open a styling school. When the doctor told my busband I would be down for 6 wks, my son asked Ralph if he had purchased my straight jacket yet?
I guess this has given you a taste of what I have been doing for the last 35 years.
Anxious to hear from some of you, so write me.
Sincerely,
Judy Allen/York
