Judy's Story

So much water under the bridge! I got married at age 19, moved to the Phoenix area with my first husband and had two beautiful daughters 1977 and 1980, but was depressed and stuck, and didn't know why. I went to therapy in 1989, got divorced in 1992, published a book 1994 (See Amazon.com: In the Voice of A Child, One Woman's Journey to Healing from Sexual Abuse.) After my own personal transformation was well along, I went back to school at ASU and graduated with an MSW 1996. For the past 9 years I've been a private practice psychotherapist as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, with a private office in Tempe, AZ. I remarried last year and am amazingly happy. I have ...Expand for more
two grandchildren, who live near me (YEA!!) My work is fulfilling, a great blessing as I am priviledged to be witness to healing of deep wounds. Many of my clients are survivors of family violence, and find that therapy makes a vast difference. My new husband swept me off my feet and reminded me that there IS enough love in the universe, when we believe in ourselves and are patient. Life is very good. Do-overs are possible, and it's so much better... I lived by my intellect for too much of my life--thank you for those of you who may have tolerated me when I was a bit "insufferable". Now I live by my heart AND my head, and it's more balanced. Hope you all are well!
