You all may remember that I left Rolla high school in October of our senior year to get married. I moved to Ohio and the marriage lasted about 4 1/2 years. Came back to Rolla, but didn't stay long. The traveling bug hit me and I left again and never moved back to Rolla. Did move back to Springfield in 1983 and lived near there for 11 years. Was much married and divorced. Am married to my 5th husband for 19 years now, so I guess I finally found the right one. I live in southern Alabama,now. My husband, Larry, and I owned a small motel (a little MOM & POP operation) in Gulf Shores (about a mile from the beach) for 10 years. Larry had a couple of heart attacks in 2003 and we sold the motel in 2004 and retired. It was a lot of fun and a lot of hard work. Met an incredible amount of wonderful people coming and going through the motel and some have stayed friends even now. Our oldest son, Brad, worked with us running a charter boat service from the motel and still does have the charter business, in Orange Beach, Alabama. He has two beautiful children, Cursti (14) and Chance (9). His wife, Cyndi, works at our local zoo in Gulf Shores. If any of you have ever seen the tv show on Animal Planet called "The little zoo that could" about the hurricane evacuations down here, then that "Cyndi" is my daughter-in-law and you saw our son and grandc...Expand for more
