Judy's Story
I doubt the characters available on here, or an hour TV documentary would be enough to date the
"GRAND, Up & Down, Fairy Tale,
Crazy, Incredible, Wonderful, and
Unbelievably Blessed life I have lived & currently live, but I'll attempt to tell as much as space allows. Actually I'll attempt to list just the facts first,
I went to a total of 3 High Schools,
I have been married 4 times, currently married 36 years, husband is 25 yrs my Jr. All 3 Previous spouses deceased.
I have total 5 children, 3 boys, 2 girls, 12 Grandchikdren, 17 Great Grandchildren, and 2 Great Great Grandchildren!! They all live within 10 miles of us.
I want to college and became a Psychiatric Tech in Calif. Later, was involved in Politics in Texas, subsequently work for State of TX in Austin. Later worked in MFRD Housing as sales & Mgr for 25 yrs,
Am currently retired- live in TX-(hate it)- I miss my mountains- in WV, NM, Calif,AZ !
Am Rock & Roller, old hippie, conservative, have 2 hobbies- reading- have approx 6,000 books other is I Love making extravagant Barbie Doll clothes. Lesser interest include Cooking- have won trophy for my ribs, won Wet Tshirt contest when age 40 & Grandmother, Love planting ,caring for flowers.
I Fly and drive here and there taking 2 to 4 of the Grands &/or Great Grands, as well as go myself to concerts. My husband is a Master Electrician/ Supt. and works full time for Commercial Elec Co.
We have lived in our home 21 years, just had it painted and new roof .
I am healthy, and very Happy, i got Lucky and caught the Gold- not Brass Ring long ago! Have lived in Beautiful, States! in So. Calif in the 60's, NM & AZ & CA in 50's, Ill in 50's, TX in 50's, 70's, 80's, NV in 80's & 90's, TX 70's,80's 90's 20's.
And I haven't even begun to talk about ALL the kids, Grands, Great Grands, or GGGrands, or the Wide Variety of Pets they, and I have had and/ or do have! Thats another whole story! My oldest child is 65,next is 63,then 61, & 60, finally the "baby" is 55. My husband is 58, and of course I'm 83!!
As a matter of fact, my Daughter had an idea that everyone of her siblings agreed with, as did I, We are going to get together- just the 5 children and myself beginning in Oct, to begin talking, remembering every and all the interesting, funny, sad, sorry, crazy incidents, pets, people, hysterical, dull, homes, people, that we can recall beginning circa 1950 with me, my 2 younger sisters, my mom, my dad, ( all Deceased), then from the 1960's through recently. any subjects, good times, funny times, Innumerable pets, as well as hard times, sad times, funerals, marriages, etc. Also included will be recalling friends ( old and new, alive and gone, as well as what happened to those that are not here. . We know that what one person says about a particular incident or time will jog anothers memory to another time, place, or incident, and so on! All of our meetings will be recorded as well.
It will most likely take Many meetings, but every single one is excited!!
I think it will be an incredible experience for all of us, even just talking about doing it, we have brought up some almost forgotten, hysterically funny, extremely and terribly sad or painful, times, persons, pets, and other happenings.
It will be- if nothing else- interesting, enlightening, Literally laughter to a point at times to bring tears, as well as enough heart breaking memories that we'd better make certain we have several boxes of Kleenex on hand.
Since it will all be recorded, I and most likely one of my daughters will transfer the recording to written as we go, that way we can read it individually and as a group so that any little- or large items can be corrected or clarified if or as needed!
So there you have it, at least a tiny bit of my Story! I tried to really just list the basics, because if I had attempted to list all of my and my families major goings on and where we lived at the time, i would surely need way more than the number of characters available in this Story!!
In the event that there are not too many objections to what i have said so far, I will probably write more details at various times.
It really has been a Supurb life, a rewarding life, I have been Blessed to have had the chance to go, see, and do so many things in so many places by myself, as well as all of my children, my husband's, I can honestly say loudly and proudly, that I and my family have met so many great people, in so many ways, and indescribably beautiful landscapes, rivers, deserts, forests, wide open skies, zillions of stars, and more while on our trips, as well as where we have lived. I guess it sounds Corny,but the songs about This Country and its beauty are All, absolutely and totally correct.
Personally, I appreciate it more as I get older, and hope to be able to take some of my little Great and Great Great Grands on trips to see how truly Beautiful it is!!
Sorry if I took so long, but my life has been long as well! And I am so Grateful to have had it to be so!
