Judy Cannon (Clixby):  

I went to EMU after graduation and met Neil in German class. Got married in 1966. We had two children: Karen Ann (1967) and James Thomas (1972). We both went back to EMU and got our Bachelors in 1978. Mine was in Nursing. Neil was with IBM. Moved to Austin, Texas in 1980. I worked at Seton Medical Center in Austin and fell in love with the babies in Neonatal Intensive Care. While in Texas I fell in love with County/Western music and dancing. Moved to Midland, MI in 1983. I worked at Bay Medical Center, Bay City and then over to Saginaw General to work again in NICU. While there, I became Regional Perinatal Coordinator/ Educator for the hospitals in the counties surrounding Saginaw. Pursued my love for dancing and C/W music. Took ballroom dance lessons and loved it.. Neil and I divorced in 1989 and in 1991 I moved to Traverse City, MI. Worked in Obstetrics at Munson in TC then worked for 6 1/2 years for the Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians in Suttons Bay, MI. Was Program Director for a Maternal/Child Health Care Program. (again working with those little babies). Went on to work for Home Care then did IV Therapy at the hospital until I moved back to the area in 2009 to be near my Mom who had been diagnosed with cancer. Had an apartment in Northville until Jan. 2011 when I moved back into my childhood home to care for Mom. Mom passed in March 2011, and I now have the house.
