Judy's Story
Hi,
Wow, has it really be 34 years since we graduated? It's been so long since I've seen most of the people from good ol' Huffman that I still imagine them as being 18 years old. Many of you know me as being the pianist for Concert Choir, singing in Sr. Mixed Ensemble and accompanying the Girls Ensemble. I think I accompanied every vocal group at Huffman in 1973 - 1974 except Chansoniers....Angela Wier had that honor.
My home is in Blount County, near Corner, Alabama.
I have three beautiful daughters with Neal before we divorced, and three beautiful step-daughters. My oldest daughter, Faith, has three children; Catherine-6 years, William-4 years and Caroline -4 Months. Tina is my middle daughter and she has two sons; Brooks 7 and Connor 3. My youngest daughter Karen has a daughter, Victoria (who everyone says is me made over) who is 6. My stepdaughters are Jennifer, Holly and Keri. abe 6, and Zoe 5. Keri, my youngest step-daughter has one son, Jack age 5. As you can my daughters have been very busy and my wonderful grandkids keep me extremely busy!
College took place over several years. I attended Jeff State right after we graduated for two years, quit to start a family, then returned to school 12 years later to continue working on my degree at Samford University. I studied Early Childhood/Elementary education as well as Counseling and Human Resources. So instead of getting my teaching degree, I became an Executive Assistant to the Vice President of Engineering at American Cast Iron Pipe Company (ACIPCO).
My first marriage to Neal Ferguson ended badly June, 1991. I remained single until I met Charlie Burns, to whom I remain happily married since August 14, 1993. Charlie is retiring June 1, 2008. I will keep working for at least 8 more years. He get's to laugh every morning while I drag out of bed....Cruel.
