Judy's Story

Life I have three children and they have been my best friends and my greatest reason for staying young. My Mom is still living, at the young age of 96 (2008). We spend most of our time laughing about our "growing old", but not willingly. Our lifestyle is living easy. I retired in July of 2006 and Mom is still in good health. e. Now I use him as my "guru" when I have a problem with my home computer. See..it pays off! I am considered the "one who knows" at work, but what do you expect when your co-workers all carry guns!! :) Workplace I just completed my 26th year working for the same police department. I started dispatching way back in 1970, but after changing jobs a couple of times, and having my last 2 kids, I transferred over to being a secretary so our life could be a bit more stable. I've been the secretary for the Detective Division for 21 years now. My boss says I can't retire...ever! If I ever do, I'll have to be available for "consultant" work every time they need something. July, 2006 - I finally retired from this job. I miss the people, but I do not miss having to be at work at 8 AM.
