Judy's Story
After HS, I worked for a bit then started at SAC. I ended up going to St. Mary's for my BA and Our Lady of the Lake for my MBA. During this time, I got married and had two children. I was raising two children, working fulltime and going to school. Looking back not sure how I did it. My husband and I were married 42 years before he passed from lung cancer in 2018. My career took me from 21 years at USAA to the federal government working for FEMA then Homeland Security Office of Inspector General....Expand for more
While working for the government I got to travel across the country and to territories like Puerto Rico and US Virgin Islands. I spent 10 years working in Louisiana after Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. I was able to change my duty station to Houston and finally back to San Antonio where I retired in 2019. Now, I am a doting grandmother to 3 little angels (well sometimes they are not so angelic). I do like gardening, doing arts/crafts, watching movies, and enjoying not having to answer to anyone.
