Life
Hi everyone!
Well a lot of water has run under the bridge since Hespeler Public School and Preston High School. I left High School in May, and did not complete Grade 11, in 1963. I was married the first time in 1967 to Jim McLean. We had two children, Anne Marie and Timothy. We separated in Aug. 1995, and divorced in 1997. I was married again, Aug 8th, 1998 to Butch (Winston) Norman (who grew up in Galt, and attended Manchester Public School and Galt Collegiate). My daughter Anne Marie was married in Oct.14, 1989 to Pierre Kaan, and they have 2 children - Rebecca Marie,who was born June 9, 1993 (the last time the Montreal Canadiens won the Stanley Cup) and Benjamin Chirstopher James who was born May 21, 1997. Timothy was married Sept 7, 1997 to Lori Schartzberg, and they have two daughters, Arielle Anne Mary, born Jan 29, 1998 and Abigail Joan Elizabeth, born May 7, 2002. I also have a step-son, Jeff Norman and he has been married to Cindy for 20 years and they have been living in New Brunswick since October of 2002. Anne Marie and Pierre live in Preston, and Tim and Lori live in Galt and we live in Hespeler, which are all parts of the City of Cambridge. We live in an addition to my parents...Expand for more
' home on Kribs Street, the house my parents built in 1951. We have a dog, Montana, who is part German Shepherd and part Collie and he is very affectionate. My parents are 82 and 81 this year, and still live in this house and are both doing very well. My husband is retired and so am I, so we do a lot of volunteer work. He took early retirement and I did also. I am Past President of the Operating Board at the Ted Wake Lounge Seniors Centre, which is part of the W.G. Johnson Centre, which is built on the site of the original Hespeler Public School on Kribs Street, so I have gone back to where I started kingergaten in 1951. My husband is also on the Board of Directors for the Centre. We are very active in our church and he also drives seniors to Medical appointments for a service called "P.A.T.E.R" We have a 24 foot Citation Motorhome and enjoy going to campgrounds not too far from home. My husband enjoys fishing, so we look for places with a stream, river or lake, within walking distance, as we do not take another vehicle with us. Well I hope you have enjoyed my story. I look forward to reading about friends from grade school and high school soon.
