Judy's Story
Ok Robert, you did ask.
I transfered from Kansas City to Miami while I was working for Braniff Airlines. You remember them right. :)
There I met my husband Jim and we raised 3 wonderful children together. Jim adopted Stacey, plus we had two together, Jimmy and Danny.
I never thought I would stay in Florida but here it is almost 40 years later and I don't see myself going anywhere else now.
Jim and I were married 25 years, then he died very suddenly leaving me to decide " what now"?
My oldest son graduated from the University of Florida and convinced me that Gainesville was a great little town. He was right, I love it. And yes I am a Gator fanatic.
I met a wonderful man here. Michael.
Love at first sight for me.... for him it took a little longer at least a ...Expand for more
couple of weeks. He is a professor at UF, teaching Philosophy. He just completed his third book and dedicated it to me... WOW.... who would have thought I would have a book dedicated to me.
We love our life together and have recently discovered the beauty of North Carolina, especially in the summer time. We plan to spend our summer there next year.
My daughter Stacey lives in Loveland Colorado. I try to get out there a couple of times a year and my Sons live in Florida so I get to see them pretty regularly.
My sister and her family are still in K.C. so I manage to go "home" at least once a year.
I retired from real estate about a year ago. Timing is everything! I spend a lot of time in my gardens and in my kitchen. I have never been happier than I am now.
