Judy's Story
After graduation from CHS, I attended Sam Houston State for a year and then transferred to the University of Tennessee at Knoxville (UTK), where I got a degree in engineering physics and met my husband, who was also in physics. Ron and I married in 1971, shortly after I graduated, and are still together. We have two kids, Robert, who has a degree in IT, and Ron Jr., who has a master's in nuclear physics.
I got a law degree, and Ron and I moved to the Washington, D.C. area for him to attend medical school and finish his residency. The move opened up a lot of opportunities for me as well. I worked for the Department of Energy and the US Patent and Trademark O...Expand for more
ffice, but contrary to the class prophecy, never worked for the FBI. For the past twenty years, I have worked in international development, where I help other countries write laws and regulations, decide whether to join treaties or other international agreements and advise them on what they need to do to be eligible to join, and do various other things to help them strengthen their intellectual property systems. I spent a little over four years managing a project in Egypt and have worked in 21 foreign countries over the years.
I hope someone will be kind enough to let me know the date of our next class reunion, as I would love to catch up with everybody.
