Judy's Story
From graduation in '69 I went to work in Langley at the CIA for about two years. Doug Hitchings was going to school down in Georgia while I was living in Georgetown. He kept asking me to marry him (SURPRISE!) and it seemed like a good idea at the time!! LOL! So I came down to Georgia, we stayed married for a couple of years, moving to his true hometown of Canton Ohio where I worked for his dad in the real estate business. After a couple of very trying years, decided "this is not what I wanted" in life, I moved back to Georgia and then we divorced after a three year separation (he kept thinking I would change my mind)...I moved to Georgia around '72, worked as a cocktail waitress for years, found out "who Judy was" (wild-child I was!! but not the BAD sort heehee)and just had a fun, partied all the time for about 8 years, breaking hearts all over the place...
s-m-i-l-e...stayed single and partied like crazy just loving life and having a great time!! I started seriously dating a friend that I had met as soon as I came to Georgia around '74..we were just friends for years and then he "came back into the picture" around '78 (he just wouldn't go away!!)and we dated for about a year and married in '79. I NEVER thought I would marry again!! In '80 I got pregnant but our child was stillbo...Expand for more
rn (so sad to this day). Tom and I are still very happily married and the very best of friends. We don't have any children together even though we tried two times...I lost my second child when I was three months pregnant. We live in NW Georgia. I worked as a buyer for a railcar manufacturer for 22 years and this year they closed their doors due to the economy!! What a scary time that has been since I thought I would retire there...but am now working for a business that sells promotional products to private schools that hold events such as equestrian events, quarter midget racing, wrestling, soccer, cross country....we print t-shirts on site at these events along with selling other specialty promotional type products...have only been with them for about 3 months since I left my 22 year job...its a pretty good job - nice people and am very appreciated by the owners. Tom and I live a pretty quiet life, loving each other and try to "live in the moment" every day!! He brings out the best in me and he says I bring out the best in him...we are truly meant for each other! Well, in a nut shell that's about it...love to all my friends out there who remember me...I haven't changed much...still young at heart at least!! Aging isn't so bad; it is definitely the better of the two options!!
