Judy's Story
In high school I was the fat quiet girl who hid behind her hair. Nobody really knew me except my close friends... and they really knew me! With them I could be funny (and I managed to get them laughing a lot), I could be serious, talk about issues I knew they would keep between themselves and me.
After high school I went to college to continue my education in hearing loss and interpreting for the deaf, which I did at my church while I was in high school.
I have had three daughters and now have three grandchildren and one more in the oven. I discovered I am mujch better at being a grandma than I was at being a mom.
I lived several years in Kansas during my first and second marriage. My first husband died of kidney failure and my second one is still living (unfortunately)...Expand for more
. After that nasty divorce and child custody battle, I married out of desperation, which lasted six years. I have been divorced since Dec. 2005, and am doing fine.
I have worked for various newspapers from 2002 to 2009, mainly in the newsroom as a reporter (specializing in feature stories), and as an assistant editor here in Sapulpa. I've lived in the panhandle, again in Blackwell, and now just outside of Tulsa.
I am presently writing two books and have edited two as well. Of course, I left out most of my life, but that's okay. Those who really know me, know me. That's what matters. I still try to keep in contact with some of my high school friends, I'm on facebook where I keep in contact with friends and many family members, and I'm trying to live my life the best I can.
