Judy's Story
After graduating from Peru High School, I went to DePauw University, a small liberal arts college in Greencastle, Indiana. I wandered around for 4 years trying to decide what I wanted to do with my life, but couldn't decide, so as many women of my age I became a teacher. ng and writing, worked on a reading project. I taught a Humanities class for gifted children and developed a class for students who were disorganized and not doing well in school. I was active in professional organizations. The school changed and I left. I have 2 children, a boy and girl who are now in their 40s. I have 4 grandchildren-the oldest is a freshman in high school and the youngest is 2 1/2. They are divers, soccer players, and singers. I love to play golf, but have given up tennis, and paddle tennis. I do get back to Peru several times a year to see 2 nieces who live there. I spend my time now doing volunteer work, playing the piano, reading and writing, and corresponding with friends. I am always looking for new friends.
