Judy's Story
Life
2015: Wow, how life can change in just a few short years. Widowed 2 1/2 yrs ago, kids are grown - just me and Ginger the minpin now. Brad is now a police officer in Raleigh NC and Kara is a police communicator and 911 operator for Charlotte-Mecklenburg police department in Charlotte NC. I'm still active in my church and am still working for Duke Hospital - this summer will be 34 yrs there. Life will definitely make you change your priorities, so I do plan to retire early. I hope you are all well and happy and I'd love to hear from you.
2007: I've been married for 29 years to Eric Scott (some of you may remember him - he was only at Winter Park for our senior year). We have 2 children - Brad is 21, serving in the US Army with the Green Beret; and he's engaged to be married. Kara is 18; she'll graduate high...Expand for more
school this year at the same time that she gets her EMT certification from our local community college; she is a volunteer firefighter, does foreign and US mission work through our church, and heads off to college in the Fall. I am truly blessed by God for the family I have.
I've been in my current job 26 years, at Duke in Durham, NC. We have 2 dogs (Misty, a minpin, and Ginger, an australian shepherd). I'm finally over the minivan phase; just bought a Honda Pilot. Love it! I'm very active in my church - care group leader for Sunday School, sing in the choir (occasionally, I'm allowed to sing a solo). Eric is a Lieutenant with the Sheriff's Office, does wedding photography on the side, scuba dives, hunts, etc.......
